Robert L. Nakken, age 77 of Wayland, went to Glory on November 25, 2015. He was preceded in death by many loved ones. Bob will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 43 years Evelyn Nakken; his children: Tammy (Scott) Hollon, Tom Nakken, Steve (Stacy) Nakken, Randy (Amy) Nakken and Bryan Nakken; his 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; his sisters: Jean Sebright, Myrt Miller, and Elaine VanOveren; and many nieces and nephews. Bob retired after 36 years as a tool and die maker from General Motors. He drove school bus for Hopkins Schools for 10 years. For 25 years he was Uncle Bob the Gospel Clown. Evelyn and Bob volunteered with the WYCLIFFE Associates in Florida translating the Bible. Friends may visit with Bob's family on Sunday, November 29, 2015 from 2-5 PM at the Kubiak-Cook Funeral Services, Wayland. Funeral services will be Monday, November 30, at 11 AM at Calvary Church of Wayland and will greet friends an hour before the service. Pastor Mike Hasper and Dr. Paul Kingsbury will officiate. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery. Donations in memory of Bob may be made to WYCLIFFE Associates or Calvary Church of Wayland.
