David Mark Dykstra, age 52 of Portage, passed away December 2, 2015 at Rose Arbor Hospice Home after a two year courageous battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his father David J. Dykstra. Dave will be lovingly remembered by his wife Sara Dykstra; his children Chloe and Isaiah; his mother Janice Dysktra; his brothers and sisters: Todd (Priscilla) Dykstra, Barry (Angela) Dykstra, and Rebecca (Paul) Commons; several nieces and nephews; and his mother-in-law Jane Robbins and father-in-law David (Vickie) DeMaagd. Dave was a 1981 graduate of Wayland High School and a veteran of the U.S. Marines. He worked as a maintenance tech and shift leader at Perrigo and as an Industrial Electrician/Mechanic at Johnson-Control. Friends may visit with Dave's family from 12-2 PM and 5-8 PM Friday, December 4, 2015, at the Kubiak-Cook Funeral Services, Dorr. Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 AM at the Dorr Baptist Church with Pastor Richard Helderop officiating. Private interment will follow at Burnips Cemetery.
